Aymone Vigière d’Anval
Cassagne et Vitailles, terrasses-du-larzac
Syrah and carignan for this red from Montpeyroux, Hérault, with aromas of red and black berries, spices and licorice. On the palate, the woodiness is mellow, the tannins are delicate, and the structure is both powerful and fresh. This cuvée's class, density and liveliness are defi nitely appreciated.

Château Ampélia, Castillon
A majority of Merlot blended with 20% Cabernet Franc for this wine from the Despagne family. The expressive nose of raspberry, redcurrant and spicy notes evokes the greediness of the fruit. The palate offers real freshness, without too much power, thanks to the fi nesse of the oak. Good value for money from a simple, well-made cuvée.

An intense, fresh nose for this fine blend of marsanne and roussanne, with notes of white peach, honey, dried pineapple and gunflint on the palate. Lots of aromatics and a fine balance between powerful intensity and straightforwardness, with mineral accents and delicate bitters on the finish.
