Gault&Millau's review 2026

On the front, a beautiful white facade with a beautifully hand-painted sign. On the other side, a lovely garden on the banks of the river Aven, where a few tables have been placed. The small, light-filled dining room offers a most pleasantly simple setting. Benjamin Le Gall from Brittany has long set sail for faraway lands. So has Gillian Berdugo. But now they've come home. The good-humored service is matched by a cuisine that doesn't try to be trendy, but responds to expectations of freshness and flavor. Right from the start, we appreciate the burnt leek, warm asparagus and tarragon gribiche. We also think that skate meunière can be delightfully simple, with a hazelnut butter and lemon pep to match. In the same authentic vein, we appreciate the relevance of the creamy mandarin and thyme-lemon tart, refreshed with a citrus sorbet. Excellent bread and a very small, consistent cellar.
