In the heart of traditional Brittany, Christophe Le Fur, who succeeded Jacques Guillo more than twenty years ago, has carried on this true labor of love in the service of his region. With passion, selflessness, and consistency, he embodies regional values—including modest pricing—in dishes that showcase the flavor and authenticity of an entire region, as well as the meticulous craftsmanship of an exceptional chef: foie gras and beets with smoked eel chantilly, langoustine and grilled carrots with buckwheat, shiso, and smoked cream; a beautiful strawberry dessert featuring a lime financier, Mara des Bois mousse, and champagne sorbet—not to mention, of course, two standout dishes: the crispy lobster royale with frogs’ legs, peas, and tomatoes, or the famous beef tenderloin pithiviers with savory and oregano, served with a Maroilles quiche. Despite its success, this fine restaurant has retained its family-friendly atmosphere in both hospitality and service, and boasts a wine cellar that is substantial in volume yet also offers wines at affordable prices.
