Manuel Dupont, who already runs La Belle étoile, took over the bistro with his wife Tamara in 2023. This well-known Villefranche establishment boasts a superb terrace overlooking the sea and part of Cap Ferrat, decorated with lemon trees. In a generally good mood, both among customers and service staff, we come here to discover French cuisine above the standard, a fine cassolette of snails and mushrooms in a beautiful parsley cream, a serious coq au vin, albeit shy on quantities, cooked admirably and very well accompanied by mashed potatoes and sauce, a filet of bonito and hazelnut butter with paprika, a classic and well-made crème brûlée.
