All we can hope for, of course, is that Thoumieux remains Thoumieux for a long time to come—this legendary Parisian bistro that has known so many glorious moments. While those days may be somewhat behind us, the place remains impressive and retains its own special magic. Take a seat and let your mind wander a bit amid this carefully preserved and enhanced decor, in a festive spirit that still defies the gloom outside. The menu has evolved with the times: egg with mayonnaise and onion soup, asparagus mousseline, curly endive with bacon, as well as avocado and tuna, grilled prawns, and rigatoni with morel mushrooms. We stay true to tradition with Sarladaise apple confit and Château au poivre.
