Chef's Restaurant
It’s true—this lounge, designed by Castelbajac, has a lot of charm; it captures the designer’s world and, best of all, offers a view of the sea from the windows. This charming, windswept manor—straight out of a Daphne du Maurier novel—features a bistro area, cozy lounges, and a prime terrace overlooking the famous arch. To bring the kitchen to life, there are now not one but two young chefs, whom the owner, Omar Abo Dib, wanted to bring together to create harmony on the plate. And there is indeed an interesting synergy between Killian Alain, from Brittany, and Yannic Stockhausen, originally from Hamburg, in producing dishes that could be further refined, yet where flavor and technique are clearly evident: a perfectly cooked line-caught cod with an excellent choron sauce and a few embellishments one could do without; a fine cut of poultry with a reduced gravy, corn purée, plum, nectarine; and a strawberry dessert with a parsley ganache and sorbet. Dedicated service; a wine cellar that’s evolving, with a few excellent selections.
