Gault&Millau's review2026
Just below Saint-Maclou Cathedral, Naoëlle d'Hainault’s restaurant features a large, elegant dining room with a view of the glass-walled kitchen and wine cellar. The chef offers a 6-course “carte blanche” tasting menu for 120 €, including several signature dishes. A refreshing starter featuring colorful tomatoes, stracciatella espuma, watermelon, and a pineapple-tomato coulis; semi-cooked langoustines, creamy avocado, and a daikon radish rosette; chilled lobster with reduced sauce, served on a roasted quinoa galette and drizzled with a brown butter foam; for the meat course, a 7-hour-pressé of lamb shoulder seasoned with ras el hanout, served with a creamy carrot and chickpea purée—though this was slightly less exciting; then the chef offers a specially prepared fresh cheese, and the meal concludes with “the peanut effect.” The service is friendly and efficient, and to complement the cuisine, there is a lovely, very tempting wine list, expertly explained by the chef’s husband, a former sommelier at prestigious restaurants.
