Be warned—this is a hidden gem. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much: a local road running through Veyras, a house right by the roadside. But as soon as you step inside, a cheerful and energetic team seats you in the heart of a large dining room filled with lush greenery and offering views of the Ardèche countryside. Their goal: to introduce you to the Ardèche “from farm to table.” To achieve this, the entire team works closely with Florian Descours and his wife, Marine. Pork takes center stage, sourced from pigs raised specifically for the restaurant and prepared by the entire staff. So everyone can sample the pork rind pâté or the house-made sausage. Local products feature prominently on the menu, such as eggplants from the Royé brothers, served with marinated chanterelle mushrooms and basil; trout from the Vercors; and perfectly ripe tomatoes from Graines d’Ozon. Meadowsweet and wild garlic add a touch of zest to dishes with subtle flavors. Quentin Giraud will guide you through his selection of ethically sourced, primarily regional wines; he even offers his own vintage at very reasonable prices. You’ll cherish this special moment—simple yet generous—where the warmth of the welcome and the quality of the service make the dishes you savor even more unforgettable.
