Gault&Millau's review2026
This large roadside restaurant might seem a bit outdated at first glance, with the first room you come across upon entering lacking charm, followed by the main dining room, which transports us back to an era we thought was long gone, with its thick, dark beams, upholstered armchairs, and laminated menu holders. Much like the setting, Pascal Bouffety’s cuisine makes no pretense of being revolutionary. Yet with every bite, you can tell that he’s a true professional—that he makes no compromises on the quality of his ingredients, and that he has a rare mastery of cooking techniques and seasoning, elevating dishes like a rack of lamb in a Parmesan crust or a roasted sea bass fillet with asparagus. His dishes are flavorful and generous—qualities that are also evident in the desserts, notably a perfectly executed tarte tatin with Dulcey whipped cream. The wine cellar doesn’t seem to be a top priority here; service is a bit hit-or-miss, and the terrace is pleasant.
