As a tribute to his grandmother Josie, who taught him the art of entertaining and sharing a good meal, Alan Mocaer, who trained with some of the great names in cuisine, creates, innovates and invents with a touch of originality on every plate. Every two months, the Breton renews his menu of contemporary French cuisine, featuring local meats, fish from the fish market and vegetarian options. In this 18th-century granite stone building typical of Brittany, near the Château des Barons du Pont, he has imagined his world adorned with carpets, antique furniture and old clocks, as if we were guests in a familiar place. His specialty: French beef tataki, which he prepares year-round using vegetables from the neighboring market gardener. And to accompany each delicate dish with a wine pairing, the manager-cook has selected a fine menu of tasty nuggets from all regions of France. A place to follow on Instagram: @lejosierestaurant.
