For the past twenty years, Le Poulailler de Bègles has built a reputation as a lively, welcoming neighborhood bistro where the food is excellent. Former employees of the restaurant, Léa and “Stas” (whose real name is Marie) bought it a year ago to keep the spirit of the place alive. “We only serve lunch, but we welcome our customers starting at 9 a.m. for coffee or breakfast. We also have a gourmet food section with artisanal and local products—from the Bordeaux and Gironde areas—that our customers can enjoy right here,” explains Léa. Le Poulailler de Bègles serves a varied menu of homemade, traditional, and international dishes. Every day, there’s a meat dish and a vegetarian option. All at affordable prices: €13 per dish to eat in and €10 for takeout. Le Poulailler’s signature is its festive atmosphere, with entertainment, parties, and concerts on Friday evenings and the evenings before holidays. Le Poulailler is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. on Fridays; on Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The entertainment schedule is available on the restaurant’s social media accounts (Instagram: @poulaillerdebegles, Facebook: lepoulaillerdebegles).
