Delicious, hearty, homemade burgers! That’s the concept Bastien Faure has developed at the Alpe d’Huez resort, at the “Rond-Point des Pistes,” a cozy spot decorated with rock ’n’ ride-style woodwork and lovely photos. All year round, the menu features about ten different burgers, with a “burger of the moment” added regularly. From pickles to sauces to fries, everything is made in-house using high-quality ingredients and butcher-cut steaks from French beef. The restaurant’s signature dish is the original “Trappeur”: the Jack’s, a steak topped with cheddar, caramelized onions, fried bacon, maple syrup, spices, and a potato pancake—all flambéed with Jack Daniel’s whiskey. Cheese lovers will delight their taste buds with a Brie sandwich featuring a steak of lettuce, caramelized onions, truffled Brie, and French fry sauce. Connoisseurs will also enjoy the “Rampage” sauce made with maple syrup, sherry vinegar, and American mustard. The burgers are indulgent, the atmosphere is lively, and weather permitting, you can enjoy the terrace with a view of the snowfront and the Deux Alpes glacier. Be sure to follow this spot on social media: Instagram (@letrappeur).
