Chef's Restaurant
La Chèvre d'Or has plenty of talent—and resources. In addition to the golden culinary experience Tom Meyer offers in the restaurant, head down a few steps to find this magical terrace with the same view of the Riviera and Cap Ferrat—with the added bonus of being able to sit outside when it’s neither too hot nor too cold (there’s always the option of retreating to the air-conditioned dining room). The restaurant’s staff are just as skilled and worthy of the establishment’s reputation: perfect hospitality and service, and Mediterranean and seasonal cuisine masterfully executed by Chef Luca Visentin, in dishes that are anything but run-of-the-mill: after the melon gazpacho with sauce as an appetizer, a tartare and a velvety bluefin tuna loin with sorrel and anchovies—quite remarkable in flavor and freshness— the superbly prepared yellowtail, melon and fennel quenelle with dill, pistachio, and green pepper sauce, and the French-style desserts by the excellent Florent Margaillan—such as his signature lemon tart with garden herbs and mint sorbet. The wine cellar offers sufficient variety to cater to a diverse clientele, and there’s a good set menu at €135 for a choice of four courses.
