Alison Chapuis could talk for hours about truffles, the dish she always orders at restaurants. Nicknamed “Madame Truffe,” she launched a vintage food truck of the same name in 2021, which travels between Courchevel and Annecy. “The idea was to share my passion for cooking, to make truffles more accessible to the general public, and to offer them at affordable prices,” explains the chef, who previously worked at luxury restaurants. Using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, she offers a menu of refined, bold, and creative dishes, from appetizers to desserts. Endive salad with ham, burgers, lobster rolls, pasta, risotto, croque-monsieur… They all contain truffles! The same goes for the desserts, ranging from chocolate mousse to crème brûlée, cookies, and ice cream… These items can be found in the shop she just opened in the Annecy market halls, which also features a fine foods section.
