Gault&Millau's review2026
Close to the Comédie Française, on rue de Richelieu, a sky-blue façade catches the eye: the cardinal would agree with us that this table is a culinary showpiece of great talent; in the lead role, chef Jason Gouzy, ably assisted in the dining room by Camille the manager and Caroline the head sommelier, a team to whom the move from rue du Sentier has brought new energy. At table, the sequences follow one another, with presentations often in triptychs. The five-act Gargamelle menu at €135 features: a prologue with asparagus, the first act with a "pantagruelic" egg, rice and caviar; second act, peas, shellfish and morel; third act, Arctic char, oyster and leek; fourth act, Culoiseau poularde, octopus and white asparagus; intermission, ice-cream cart and fifth act, kiwi and agastache. The audience is charmed by the artists' performance, as the service adds a gracious and pleasing touch. The wine list features such fine names as Julien Pilon and Marlène Soria.
