Remarkable Restaurant
Near the Comédie-Française, on Rue de Richelieu, a sky-blue facade catches the eye: even the cardinal would agree with us that this restaurant puts on a culinary show with great talent; in the lead role is chef Jason Gouzy, ably supported in the dining room by Camille, the manager—a team that has gained new energy since moving from Rue du Sentier. At the table, the courses unfold one after another, often presented as triptychs. The five-act “Gargamelle” menu, priced at 135 €, features: a prologue centered on asparagus; the first act with a “Pantagruelian” egg, rice, and caviar; Act Two: peas, shellfish, and morels; Act Three: Arctic char, oysters, and leeks; Act Four: Culoiseau chicken, octopus, and white asparagus; intermission: an ice cream cart; and Act Five: kiwi and agastache. The audience is charmed by the artists’ performance, as the service adds a graceful and pleasant touch. The wine list features notable names such as Julien Pilon and Marlène Soria.
