Formerly known as rue gourmande, between the Saint-Michel and Sainte-Croix districts, it's here on rue Porte de la Monnaie that Flavien Faure has chosen to pass on the culinary art passed on to him by the great houses in which he has had the good fortune to work in France and abroad. Assisted in the kitchen by a chef who has lived on Réunion Island, the flavors of the world blend subtly to magnify the Aquitaine terroir in a neo-bistro atmosphere that's both intimate and relaxed. On the menu, a menu of seasonal suggestions and another of small dishes to share, to make you sparkle with emotion: a sweet and sticky, i.e. pork bonbons caramelized in an Asian marinade, a tataki of duck breast from the southwest deglazed in a buttery soy caramel, or crispy prawns wrapped in a sheet of brick pastry topped with homemade bisque and basil mayonnaise. A symphony of textures and flavors, sometimes fusion, to melt with delight. In fine weather, a pleasant terrace welcomes you, with oil lamps and dried flowers on every table. Try our Sunday brunch.
