“Sissi”—the affectionate nickname given by her parents to Sahar Aoun, who was born in Beirut and grew up in the south of France, and is the founder of this venue. Just a stone’s throw from Place de la République, Sissi, alongside Jean Badr (an architect from the Beirut School of Fine Arts) and Jeanne Notari (a Parisian interior designer), has completely reimagined this iconic Parisian brasserie to create a quintessentially Parisian space while preserving its old-world charm. The Signature menu, created in February 2025 by Sahar and Chef Giuseppe Franco (a professor at the Alain Ducasse School), features classic French cuisine infused with Mediterranean touches. Developed by the talented Vasil Lavangi, the restaurant’s executive chef, the menu takes diners on a seasonal gastronomic journey with a unique daily menu… The sun shines through every one of the Chef’s creations!
