Gault&Millau's review 2026

A charming nose of yellow fruit, honey and beeswax paves the way for a fine palate, marked by still-present but well-integrated ageing. The finish, taut and salivating, prolongs notes of fresh vanilla, marzipan and walnuts. A delicious, complex wine that would benefit from a little more cellaring to refine its balance.

The family-run estate, located in Dizy in the heart of the Marne Valley, has been passed down from generation to generation since 1809. Damien Coutelas, who now runs the business and represents the 8th generation, cultivates 7 hectares of vineyards. His winery embodies a winemaking philosophy rooted in both tradition and modernity, emphasizing authenticity, quality, and respect for time-honored methods. The tradition of hand-tying the vines with hemp rope continues, and the wines are vinified and aged in large oak vats and barrels.
