The nose is immediately very rich, with beeswax, ripe yellow fruit, vanilla, toasted bread and cinnamon-poached pear. Warm and classic at the same time. The palate is suave, with a velvety texture and fine, creamy bubbles. Aromas of undergrowth indicate a medium evolution. The finish awakens, with a hint of tonic and candied lemon notes. Some white fruit and lots of spice invade the palate. A classic, well-built and reassuring.

Created in 2005, Barons de Rothschild champagne is the result of a unique alliance between the three branches of the Rothschild family, now represented by Philippe Sereys de Rothschild (Château Mouton Rothschild), Ariane (Château Clarke, Groupe Edmond de Rothschild), Éric and his daughter Saskia (Château Lafite Rothschild). The finesse of Chardonnay, the house's signature grape variety - mostly from the Grands Crus and Premier Crus -, extended ageing and the purity of minimal dosage are the pillars of the elaboration of this great Champagne wine. For the first time in their history, the Barons have joined forces to create a joint estate, and together develop their singular interpretation of a Grand Vin de Champagne combining the elegance of Chardonnay, extended ageing and the purity of a minimalist dosage.
