From the very first glance, the wine's old rose color with almost coppery highlights charms the eye. Bitter orange peel, blood orange juice, round, greedy aromas of stewed strawberry, poached roussanne peach... the nose is an aromatic journey that gives a sensation of fullness and fleshiness. Warm spices complete the picture: turmeric, star anise, vanilla. Superb fullness on the palate, with a slightly tannic texture that holds its place without losing freshness. Delicate bubbles contribute to the slightly grainy sensation of pear pulp that lingers right through to the finish. A bewitching wine with an elegant floral finish reminiscent of a bouquet of freshly picked roses.

Created in 2005, Barons de Rothschild champagne is the result of a unique alliance between the three branches of the Rothschild family, now represented by Philippe Sereys de Rothschild (Château Mouton Rothschild), Ariane (Château Clarke, Groupe Edmond de Rothschild), Éric and his daughter Saskia (Château Lafite Rothschild). The finesse of Chardonnay, the house's signature grape variety - mostly from the Grands Crus and Premier Crus -, extended ageing and the purity of minimal dosage are the pillars of the elaboration of this great Champagne wine. For the first time in their history, the Barons have joined forces to create a joint estate, and together develop their singular interpretation of a Grand Vin de Champagne combining the elegance of Chardonnay, extended ageing and the purity of a minimalist dosage.
