Like Asian cuisine revealing its spicy perfumes with notes of mild curry, nutmeg, cardamom and aromatic herbs (Thai basil), the nose is an invitation to travel. Ripe fruit is not far away, imposing itself in a fleshy body with delicate bubbles. The tangy sweetness of citrus accompanies through to a finish of lovely bitters, while the chalky texture lends chewiness.

A family-owned estate established in the 1960s in Mongenost on the southern slopes of the Sézannais region, Hélène and Benoît Cocteaux cultivate 12 hectares of vineyards planted around the estate as well as across various regions of Champagne: the Côte des Blancs, the Marne Valley, and the Côte des Bar. Chardonnay makes up the majority of the vineyard and benefits from the limestone terroirs where it is grown. The estate has been certified organic since 2025. Winemaking is carried out plot by plot. To bring out the unique character of each terroir, the couple completely redesigned their winemaking facility, incorporating a large oak cask made entirely from Montgenost oak—sourced from their own forest—as well as the mineral-rich stone used in their stoneware jars.
