Maturation of the clear wines in wood, long bottle ageing with low-foam tirage and special wine selection - this is the recipe for this Hors Catégorie which, strangely enough, has nothing to do with 1993. The nose is subtle, with complex aromas of hazelnut, dried fruit, bergamot and white wood. The palate is perfectly spherical, silky and enveloping, with a long, sapid finish. A superb table champagne to accompany fine poultry or veal with herbs.

Castelnau
Founded in 1916, the Castelnau brand quickly made a name for itself on French dining tables and then among several royal families and French military circles around the world. In 2021, the Terroirs et Vignerons de Champagne group acquired this house, which joined the Nicolas Feuillatte brand, the Abelé 1757 house, and, more recently, Henriot champagnes. “Champagne Castelnau is meant to be shared. Its cuvées will take you on a journey into a world of its own, with true character,” says Carine Bailleul, the cellar master. A delicate and generous style.
