Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
Founded a century ago, the Cellier des Princes brings together 120 winegrowers across 688 hectares, primarily on terroirs of rounded pebbles and sandy soils in the municipalities of Courthézon, Bédarrides, and Sorgues. Long sold in bulk, the cooperative’s wines have been bottled for over 20 years, which has allowed for increased production volumes but, more importantly, a focus on quality at a level never before achieved. While the bottles are labeled under the name Cellier des Princes, certain vintages bear the names of estates that the cooperative has acquired. Gigondas, Côtes-du-Rhône, Rasteau, Cairanne, and Vacqueyras round out the Châteauneuf-du-Pape range.
