Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
The estate’s history dates back to 1928, with successive generations of winemakers carrying on the family tradition. In 2014, Gérard Doré called on his friend and neighboring vineyard owner, Jean-Guy Monmarthe, to take the reins. Monmarthe committed to carrying on the Doré tradition with an estate spanning 4 hectares and 15 plots in the Ludes Premier Cru terroir. Since 2019, Gauthier Monmarthe—the seventh generation of winemakers in the Monmarthe family—has been dedicated to showcasing this estate and its terroir through unique cuvées. Production, blending, and bottling all take place on the estate.
