Established in Tavel in the XIXᵉ century, the Maby family initially produced wine for an intimate circle. Auguste was the first to make a living from it in the early XXᵉ century, selling "Clos du Palai". After 1945, Armand created Domaine Maby, modernized the winery and expanded the vineyard. Joined by Roger in the 1960s, he expanded towards Lirac and exported widely. In 2005, Richard brought a more contemporary vision. The 53-hectare estate has been certified organic since 2022.
