The somewhat balsamic freshness of the nose is intriguing at first, before rounder aromas of ripe white fruit, graphite and rosewater bring out the greediness. Between verbena, chamomile and lime blossom, the palate hesitates between roundness and slight bitterness, but retains a welcome sweetness right through to the finish. A vol-au-vent is the perfect accompaniment.

Fernand Lemaire

The Lemaire family has been in the wine business since 1860. At first, the business was just a sideline, until Fernand decided to devote himself entirely to winegrowing. The family's 6-hectare estate, located in Hautvillers, a premier cru commune, was created and the first vintages marketed as early as 1903. Since 2022, great-grandchildren Hélène and her brother Benoît have managed the estate. They produce their cuvées with respect for tradition and sustainable viticulture. The vineyard is certified HVE (high environmental value).
