Champagnes
Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
The Beaufort family has been growing grapes in Champagne since the 16th century and has been producing still wines from Bouzy since 1900. In 1929, Marcellin Beaufort and his son Herbert began producing champagne. Herbert’s grandsons, Hugues and Ludovic, currently manage the 13-hectare estate, which is HVE3-certified. The estate’s highly acclaimed red Bouzy undergoes a very long aging process of two years in oak barrels. To welcome visitors and allow them to explore the village of Bouzy and the surrounding region, the family offers a spacious guesthouse just a short walk from the estate.
