Jacques Chaput
Jacques Chaput
The Chaput family has been based in Arrentières, in the Côte des Bar region, for several centuries. Following in the footsteps of Jacques Chaput, his son Jacky and grandson Jason now manage the estate, which spans 14 hectares of vineyards, primarily planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on terroirs composed of marl, limestone, and clay. For many of their cuvées, they age the wine for particularly long periods—often more than 10 years—which lends the champagnes complexity and richness. The bottles are recognizable by the salamander, the emblem of King Francis I.
