In a style more Pinot than Chardonnay, with certainly good ageing on laths, this cuvée has volume and seduction. It's discreetly broad without exuberance on flowers and yellow fruit. We like the fine salinity on the finish, which gently lashes the taste buds.

Lepreux-Penet

Louis-Gilbert Penet became a harvester and handler in Verzy following the 1929 crisis, investing in cellars dug into the chalk at a depth of 18 meters. His son Jean-Marie succeeded him, creating the brand. It is the union of his eldest daughter Florence and Jean-Paul Lepreux that symbolizes the current entity. The vineyard extends over some 8 hectares on the Montagne de Reims. Here, they are concerned with the microbial life of the soils, with a desire to combine modern production tools with traditional methods. Since 2017, the winery has been experimenting with amphora vinification.
