Having practiced organic farming for over twenty years and now committed to Demeter-certified biodynamic farming, Gilles Bonnefoy’s vineyards produce wines under the Côtes-du-Forez appellation or the Urfé PGI. The red wines are made from Gamay Saint-Romain or its cousins: Gamay de Chaudenay, Gamay de Bouze, and Gamaret. The white wines, which are fewer in number in the lineup, include one cuvée made from 100% Roussanne and another from a blend of Sauvignon Gris and Sauvignon Blanc. A red sparkling wine made from Gamay de Chaudenay and Gamay de Bouze rounds out the selection for wine lovers seeking lower-alcohol options.
