The first nose is marked by the barrel and notes of vanilla, toast and butter. White fruit overlaps: apple, pear, then bitter orange marmalade and elderflower. Very round on the palate, confirming good maturity, but the wood rubs hard against the palate, giving a drying effect. The juice is pretty and full-bodied, and the bubbles are present and elegant. A champagne that deserves to wait a few years for the fruit to express itself and the wood to mellow.

Domaine de Marzilly

Le domaine se fixe un objectif clair : mettre en avant le patrimoine de Marzilly et du massif de Saint-Thierry. Le Domaine de Marzilly s’approvisionne aujourd’hui sur près de 4 hectares de vignes. Le vignoble est situé sur un coin sableux de Champagne, où le pinot meunier domine. Le domaine est certifié HVE3 et VDC. Les fermentations s’effectuent en fûts de chêne, dont certains proviennent également du parc du château. Le Clos de Marzilly, clos historique de la région, est la parcelle la plus emblématique du domaine, entièrement constituée de meunier et certifiée Ecocert.
