Winery presentation by Gault&Millau

Maison Vieille France was founded in 1860 in Avize, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, by Léon Le Brun. It was taken over in 2003 by the Rapeneau family, already active in Champagne. Its unique visual signature, the "apple bottle" inspired by 18th-century bottles, anchors its modernity in the history of Champagne. Its cellar master, Christophe Rapeneau, voted Sparkling Wine Cellar Master of the Year 2017 by the International Wine Challenge jury, is also president of the G.H. Martel and de Cazanove houses.
