Gault&Millau's review 2026

A shy nose that reveals a few floral and strawberry notes. The palate is full-bodied and juicy, with a chewiness that adds depth. The spicy, vegetal finish is reminiscent of a nice spicy vermouth. A champagne that we'd like to be more assertive, but which is easy to drink as an aperitif

Vieille France
Vieille France
Maison Vieille France was founded in 1860 in Avize, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, by Léon Le Brun. It was taken over in 2003 by the Rapeneau family, already active in Champagne. Its unique visual signature, the "apple bottle" inspired by 18th-century bottles, anchors its modernity in the history of Champagne. Its cellar master, Christophe Rapeneau, voted Sparkling Wine Cellar Master of the Year 2017 by the International Wine Challenge jury, is also president of the G.H. Martel and de Cazanove houses.
