Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
A family-owned winery located in Crouttes-sur-Marne, in the Marne Valley, founded in 1929 by Philippe Dérot and Yvonne Delugny. Now run by the fourth generation, Laurent and Claire Dérot, the estate cultivates approximately 10 hectares of vineyards, primarily Meunier, along with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and a small amount of Pinot Gris. This estate practices sustainable viticulture certified under the High Environmental Value (HVE) and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne (VDC) programs. Their philosophy, known as “The D Theory,” is based on constantly adapting to the terroir and the wine’s evolution.
