This blend of three vintages (2008, 2009 and 2010 in thirds), drawn in February 2011 and disgorged in July 2023, reveals powerful aromas of cooked pear, yellow peach and fresh pineapple, sprinkled with a pinch of sweet spices in a complex, beautifully mature nose. Still in its youth, the palate is much more reserved, even if the acidic framework evoking salt-cured lemon and tropical fruit makes the mouth water. A little roughness on the finish adds fullness.

J. Charpentier
The J. Charpentier champagne house is now run by the fifth generation, led by Marie-Pierre and her brother, Jean-Marc, an oenologist. The Charpentiers have long been committed to a philosophy of environmental stewardship. They practice 100% grass cover on their vineyards and avoid the systematic use of insecticides. They take a case-by-case approach, working with what nature provides. The winery ferments its 15 hectares in stainless steel tanks, large casks, or barrels, partly without malolactic fermentation, using minimal sulfites and moderate dosage.
