A beautiful blend of power, density and invigorating freshness. There's no doubt about it, the house knows how to do things and do them well. This authentic cuvée is a real favorite, with notes of pastry, exotic fruit and dried fruit, enhanced by citrus fruit on a background of sweet spices and acacia honey. The very measured dosage (around 4 g/l) lets the salinity and chalkiness speak for themselves, while age and maturity masterfully round out the wine.

The J. Charpentier champagne house is now run by the fifth generation, led by Marie-Pierre and her brother, Jean-Marc, an oenologist. The Charpentiers have long been committed to a philosophy of environmental stewardship. They practice 100% grass cover on their vineyards and avoid the systematic use of insecticides. They take a case-by-case approach, working with what nature provides. The winery ferments its 15 hectares in stainless steel tanks, large casks, or barrels, partly without malolactic fermentation, using minimal sulfites and moderate dosage.
