Pierre Courtois

Michael’s parents founded Champagne Pierre Courtois in the early 1970s in the town of Crouttes-sur-Marne in the Aube department, in the heart of the Marne Valley. The 6 hectares of vineyards are spread across three towns within a 2-kilometer radius of the winery. Michael lovingly tends his vineyard, which consists mainly of just over half Meunier (3.5 hectares)—a symbol of the region—as well as Chardonnay (1.5 hectares) and Pinot Noir (1 hectare). In 2019, the estate expanded its cellars and built a tasting room using the raw earth from their terroir.
