So much fruit! It's like walking into a store where they're all there: pear, fresh pineapple, passion fruit, peach, apricot, quetsche... Notes of prune, date and dried apricot come through on aeration. The palate is calmer. There are notes of white fruit, but the acidic, lemony structure awakens the taste buds before a slightly bitter finish.

Pierre Courtois

Since his first vinification in 1971, Michael Courtois has lovingly nurtured his 6-hectare vineyard, mainly composed of chardonnay, pinot meunier and pinot noir. The range comprises five cuvées, each expressing the intense, powerful character specific to the clay-limestone terroir of Crouttes-sur-Marne. In 2019, the domaine is extending its cellars and building a sales area using the raw earth from their vineyards, with a view to sustainable development and respect for nature.
