From the grand crus of Verzenay and Verzy, this 100% pinot noir comes from the 2014 harvest. The palate is refreshing, taut and acidic, almost disconcerting for a cuvée made from pinot. The terroir of the Montagne de Reims asserts itself, balancing power and minerality. A gastronomic wine that will go well with salmon braid and sole with caviar.

Petit et Bajan

On this small 3-hectare family estate, Richard Petit and Véronique Bajan combine their vines in fertile areas: one owns vines in Avize, a great terroir on the Côte des Blancs, the other in Verzenay, a structuring grand cru on the northern Reims mountain. There are few wines in the range, but each cuvée is well thought-out. Particular attention is paid to presentation, with elegant bottles. A fine house with unfortunately limited production, but one we highly recommend.
